Our club has successfully organized a pre-visiting to Sekolah Rendah Bantuan Chung Hua Beliong which is located at Kampung Beliong, Asajaya on 19 July 2009.
Kampung Beliong is a small village located at Asajaya, in the Samarahan Division. In the past, it is very hard to reach Kampung Beliong due to poor road and river infrastructures which made Kampung Beliong was relatively isolated from the bustling city of Kuching. Currently, with good road infrastructures in Kota Samarahan area, one can go to Kampung Beliong by driving to ferry port at Samarahan to cross the Samarahan river by using the ferry service with RM1/ per vehicle. After crossing the river, you will need to drive for 30minutes to a port called Tajoh and take sampan to reach to Kampung Beliong. If the ferry service is interrupted by the low tide, you can also go via an alternative road which will pass through UiTM but this will take longer journey to reach Tajoh.
Look at President Siaw Ling who was carefully stepping out from Sampan:-)
Since school plays important roles of educating children in Kampung Beliong, hence our club has decided to organize a pre-visiting SRB Chung Hua Beliong to plan what services or donation that we can give to the school in order to improve the school studying environment and help the students there. We are lucky to have the arrangement by the School Principal, Mr. Liew and some of the Board of Directors of Ex-SRB Chung Hua Beliong.
A walking distance of about 15minutes from Kampung Beliong Port is needed to reach to SRB Chung Hua Beliong.
| A short meeting discussion was held with the school principal’s Mr. Liew and some of the Board of directors of the school. | Group photo taken in front of the school. |
Some of the items that the school needs are cupboards, computers, paints, vases, story books and reference books, to name a few. We have a short tour around the school after the discussion meeting with the principal.

Some of the school library books and cupboards are very old already and were attacked by white ants. Our next B.O.D meeting will discuss with more details about the service project to the school.
Besides, visiting to SRB Chung Hua Beliong, we also visited Beliong’s Tua Pek Kong Temple.
