On 17th May, we were so touched by the warm welcome given by our Sister Club-Lions Club of Hsinpu upon our arrival at Taoyuan International Airport.

After having a light and delicious breakfast in the tour bus, we were brought for a short tour in Taipei (Visiting venue: Taipei 101, Yang Ming Shan, Chiang Kai Shek & Madam Chiang's Shilin Residence)

Following by a great fellowship dinner at Hakka Restaurant which was situated in Hsinpu.

On 18th & 19th May, PDG Tsai and his club members spent their precious time together with us to have a visiting to South Part of Taiwan, Kenting. All the sweetest & happiest moment that we have shared together with our sister club and lions from Japan during the whole trip will be unforgettable by us!

A courtesy call to District 300-G1 office leaded by DG Augustine Ngu & PID Ellis Suriyati was held on 20th May 2011 Morning.

Here comes the grand night…30th Anniversary of LC of Hsinpu cum 10th Twinning Anniversary celebration with LC of Kuching Stampin-Pending & 20th Twinning Anniversary with LC of Siaw Chuan, Japan.

This joint celebrations is timely where we met together with our sister clubs which reinforce our sisterhood alliance which have been built for the past 10 years.

A special thanks to PDG Tsai Kou-Juei. who is a great leader who always instrumenting in
building bridges and promoting International Understanding through his own initiatives and
commitments.

配合华人农历新年的到来，古晋哥打圣淘沙狮子会, 古晋实旦宾朋岭狮子会以及旗下所赞助的古晋市镇第一中学幼狮会及实旦宾政府中学幼狮会特别在一月二十三日星期日早上于肯雅兰菜巴剎及实都东菜巴剎向菜贩募捐食物。

民众与菜贩都非常踊跃恭献爱心，纷纷报销许多蔬菜，水果及肉类。所有收集到的食物都已经全部捐给古晋狮子会疗养院，云南善堂及一些贫穷人家。

充满爱心的菜贩纷纷申出援手，报销食物。

A meaningful health screening cum blood donation joint project between Lions Club of Kuching Stampin-Pending, Lions Club of Kuching Kota Sentosa, Stutong Community Association & Sarawak Deng's Association Youth Unit has successfully held on 9-Jan-2011 at One Jaya Shopping Mall.

Apart of blood donation project which was arranged by Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank, free blood glucose & blood pressure examination as well as free consultancy services were also being organized on the same day with the help from Kuching Diabetes Association.

More than 100 public participated in the health screening project whereas acceptable blood donors were about 50 persons.

The newly opened SIMC promises to offer locals a top class cardiac unit and is designed to meet the demands of a highly specialized modern health care facility equipped with the latest in medical equipment and information technology applications. SIMC will will provide broader range of treatments and services specializing in heart disease, kidney disease and cancer.

SIMC features a 3-storey medical block, an 8-storey ward tower that accommodates 200 beds, a 200-seat auditorium, 3 centres of excellence for treatment of cancer, heart and kidney diseases, 3 specialist outpatient clinics, 7 operating theatres (including a dedicated cardiac catheterization lab), a sophisticated imaging department, and modern laboratory and other supporting services.

We are honored to have Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, the head department of cardiology unit, Sarawak General Hospital to tour us around the new hospital.
